Important Calculation Rules

Fitment Factor Application

When a new pay commission is implemented, the fitment factor is applied ONLY to the basic pay. The existing DA is not merged into basic pay for fitment calculation. This is crucial for accurate retirement salary projection calculations.

DA Reset Mechanism

After each pay commission transition, DA percentage resets to 0% and starts accumulating again from the new basic pay structure.
